What is a WiFi Hot Spot…?  WiFi HotSpot is really two totally different terms.  WiFi is a universally accepted acronym for a wireless infrastructure (transmission) system, typically deployed inside office buildings, warehouses, and other structures needing a “wireless” method of connecting computers and other network equipment.  The term “HotSpot” means that a relatively confined area, such as a restaurant, casino, meeting or conference room or other relatively small area which is covered by very strong radio WiFi signals, so that portable computing devices, including handheld devices, can connect to the Internet or other public IP networks without the need for external antennas or special equipment. 

Do my customers have to pay for access to the WiFi network…?  No, the WiFi HotSpot is paid for by the sponsoring business or organization, so that the user can access the network at no charge. 

What services can my customers access through the WiFi HotSpot…?  Users can access any IP data services available via the public Internet, Internet 2, international multiplayer PC Game networks, and all VoIP telephone networks.  

How good is the Internet access on the WiFi network…?  We provide carrier class Tier 1 Internet access via the Butte Data Center and National Network Access Point.  There is no better Internet connectivity anywhere in the Northern Intermountain Region.
