VoIP Telephone Features

USING YOUR VOICE MAIL

Voice mail is automatically provided with each telephone number.  It will be necessary to set up your voice mail before it will work properly.  You can call your voice mail from your VoIP telephone line by dialing your own telephone number.  The set-up and use of your voice mail account is very simple, just following the voice prompt menu instructions.  To call your voice mail from an outside line, dial your VoIP telephone number, and let the number ring until answered by voice mail.  After your voice mail answers your phone number and during the greeting/announcement, press #, you will then be prompted to enter your 11 digit account number followed by the # (example: 14062999100#), then you will be prompted for your password followed by #.  We would recommend changing your voice mail password from that initially assigned to you.

You will be notified of new voice mail messages when you use your VoIP telephone line, as you will hear "broken" dial tone instead of a "steady" dial tone.  Your account can also be set up to forward your voice mail messages to an e-mail address as an audio-file attachment, or your voice mail can send a notification of a new message as a text message to your e-mail mail or cell phone.  If you would like to use either of these advanced features, please let us know and we will enable them.
